We started out just like you: pet owners juggling busy schedules and trying to keep up with the yard. We loved our dogs, but let’s be honest, scooping wasn’t anyone’s favorite task. We tried a service, crossed our fingers, and hoped they’d show up when they said they would. Turns out, it changed more than our lawn. It gave us one less thing to worry about, and that peace of mind stuck with us.
When we had the chance to take over It’s Our Doody, we didn’t hesitate. Because we knew firsthand what a clean yard really meant. It’s more than convenience. It’s care… for your home, your family, and your four-legged companions. That’s what we promise every time we visit.

Mike Starr Built It’s Our Doody On A Simple Belief: Small Things Matter
A clean yard, a reliable visit, a thoughtful detail; these aren’t just tasks to check off. They’re signs of care. What began in Royse City as Mike’s way to combine his love for dogs and clean outdoor spaces has grown into something bigger: a trusted neighborhood service built on consistency, kindness, and doing things right.
Today, his approach still shapes everything we do. From how we prep our tools to how we talk to our customers, we’re guided by the same principle: treat every yard like it’s our own, and every family like neighbors we care about. Because in the end, it’s not just about scooping. It’s about creating cleaner, happier places to live, play, and come home to.

Caring Beyond The Yard
Patriot PAWS is a nonprofit organization that trains and places service dogs with military veterans who are living with service-related disabilities and post-traumatic stress. Their mission is to restore independence and dignity through the loyalty of a well-trained dog. This mission brings hope, healing, and daily support to those who have served.
Clean yards may be our work, but care takes many forms. By highlighting organizations like Patriot PAWS, we aim to raise awareness for the meaningful ways service animals can change lives. It is a reminder that simple, compassionate efforts, whether in a backyard or through a trained companion, can have a powerful impact.
